Equestrian Sports New Zealand (ESNZ), in consultation with Endurance New Zealand, announces its new Endurance High Performance Leader for the period July 2009 - December 2010:

ESNZ Endurance High Performance Leader – Madonna Harris

Madonna will be responsible for providing leadership, motivation, planning and co-ordination within the ESNZ High Performance Programme for Endurance; leading and supporting the capacity of Endurance to achieve repeatable and sustainable international success, with a particular focus on the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Kentucky. Madonna will work to deliver ESNZ HP targets via the Individual Performance Plans (IPPs) of selected Endurance HP combinations.

The appointment process was undertaken by a panel appointed by ESNZ comprising of HP Director Sarah Harris, HP Panel Advisor Blyth Tait and Endurance NZ Chair Ken McGrath.

Madonna’s appointment takes effect immediately and runs until the end of December 2010
