Show Cross - anyone heard of it and or had a go at it?

From what I have heard its a showjumping round followed instantly by a ccross country round - is this correct?

I am going to photograph at a show soon with this in it.

Nope, but I have heard in the UK where they have X-Country courses but they are made up of showjumps! That would be great!

I think ive seen it at coatesville - and it looks like showhunter jumps mixed up with cross country jumps... like seems scattered everywhere - I could be wrong though too LOL Never done it either..

I'm not sure but someone told me it's similar to a derby! Like the Derby Day they hold at Eyreton PC - you do a short SJ round, then straight to a shorter XC round then over a few more SJ fences!

But I'm not quite sure if thats rite!

Rachael has it right, it's basically a combo of XC and SJ with SJ fences set over a XC course. You still have features of the XC such as drops,ditches and water jumps but all or a majority of the fences are SJ type fences.
