Ok, so who wears what for everyday riding and for comps? It seems that there are so many options out there, starting from $50 and then off into the hundies!

For everyday wear in the summer I like the Dublin ones that look like trackpants, they are nice and light, legs don't get so hot and they aren't too expensive, but I find the suede doesn't last more then 5 months or so with regularly use and washing.

Comp wise I ride in the Kentucky breeches only coz I love them and they suit my body type and they are also quite light and stretchy to wear during the summer months.

Has anyone got the joddies you can get from Saddlery Warehouse? I've never got a pair, wondered what the feedback was for them.

I usually either ride in trackies or just cheapish joddies for everyday - Ive had the two tone ones from the SW and they lasted as well as everything else...Ive got some of those dublin ones that I use for lessons and I find the same re how long they last rach.

Umm my current fav comp ones are gerry schumaccers (SP) and I LOVE them - so comfy and i love the real suade stuff and they are to clingy....

the $20 or $30 ones from the SW are fine. All I used up until I got my Dublin ones, altho they're not the stick bums. I find they are hard wearing (I think they're the Club ones) and great for hacking around in non stop. Will be interested to see how long the suede lasts on the dublin ones since I splashed out and paid lots for them ($50 hehehe)

I use the cheap ribbed ones from SW for ground work around the farm, and Dublin or similar stickybums for riding. Since my accident last year I have found I am more cautious so the sticky bums are giving me a better sense of security.

My every day jods are Windsors that I bought in aussie (2 pairs). They were the equivalent of $100NZD and I have thrashed the crap out of them. Had them two and a half years, the sticky bums are still amazing, only had to re-stitch a small part of the calf part, and that's it. They look like they'll probably last another two years! My fav competition sticky bums are the Equitech ones. They were $190-$200 from Rangiora Saddlery, and you can also buy them online through Provista riding. Best breeches ever. In fact, when the Windsors die, I will probably get the Equitech ones for at home. I'm keen to try the dublin flex jods though, as they look nice for summer wear.

I HATE the saddlery warehouse ones. They lead to a sore booty for me, and can't stand the 4 horses a day (everyday) that I ride. Dublins only lasted me 6 months before they started wearing out...

I'm a big fan of the Dublin stuff, mostly just because it's easy to and comfy to wear all day out with the horses.

I really like the new Dublin performance breeches for competitions, they've got a sticky bum seat but they also have different fabric (same colour but its almost like that quick dry stuff) around the bottom quarter of the legs which stops you jodz from rolling up your calf when you put long boots on.

They aren't showing them on the website but I know http://www.thathorse.com/ have them in store.
