My rising 12 year old standardbred had never been ridden when I got her so I broke her to saddle. I love jumping and I decided to teach her to jump. She seems to really enjoy jumping and pops over 30 cms easily with her ears pricked. She has been doing 30 cms for about 4 months now and I feel that she could eaisly go higher but when I raise the jump, even 5 cms, she spooks and will not jump it. She also spooks at new jumps. If I have a course of a blue jump, a red jump and a yellow jump then I change it to a blue jump, and yellow jump and a green jump, she will not go near it even in walk or in hand unless it is a day or two 'old'. Does anyone have any ideas or helpful comments? Thanks.
