Make sure you select the radio button next to the option you are using to change your image "Upload your avatar (Your image must be smaller than 150x113 pixels; .gif, .jpg, .png accepted)" BEFORE you press submit.

Before we can use an image for a background for our MySpace page, we have to store that image somewhere online. The good news is that there are many free services where you can store images for use on your profile, the bad news is some of them are horrendously slow. I would recommend you use a bit of trial and error to find one that is quicker to load the images. A better solution is to beg/borrow space from someone who has an existing website or get a cheap webhosting account.

It they image is at the right size when you upload it we host it for you so it is not a problem with loading.
