had a very beginner rider on him, lucky I gave her instructions for "worst case scenario" as she had him trotting but didn't enforce a turn to keep him in the area we were in and off he went at a canter up the paddock to the other boys.

She did exactly as she was told, left his head alone and held on the saddle (lovely position might I add!) until he stopped up there. Little brat!

Had to laugh when we finished and I told him he had to apologise or he'd get no carrots and that apologies came with cuddles, he stepped straight in for a cuddle (hell! anything for a carrot!)

if she had tried to pull him up, she would have raised the dreaded centre of gravity and toppled (altho he may well have pulled up too LOL)

He was so nervous when she first got on, that I'm actually very impressed with him and he had a very good lesson again today. Like a toddler child, they just learn so fast!!!

It certainly looks like it KA perhaps we are not controversial enough? I wonder if there are any closet knights in here, they seem to be very thin skinned..... I have been wondering if that is why they wear armour LOL

I visit.......occasionally! Been such great weather here till yesterday that I find I am outside all the time. So much to do.

I read about Smokey and the visitor on your blog KA, he's doing really well.

Anna, does Steve Brady do courses down this part of the country (Waikato) or are they all up Auckland?
