it was 5 hours long and great! We stopped about 1/2 way for a lunch stop, god all the PC boardies would have been horrified to see horses tied with reins to fences and trees etc LOL and it was the one young dork tied up by his halter that got his leg thru his reins and busted them! (I took Smokeys bridle off and he wandered off grazing with another couple of horses.) There were 10 of us and 11 horses, Smokey brought up the rear the whole way and was happy as larry way back there just following along LOL. Others would burn off up a hill and he'd just walk along till he was offered anything faster.
Very very pleased with my wee boy. His feet are right back to the sole and he was pretty footsore on the gravel on the way home (made for a SLOW trip home for him till we got back to the grassed area 15 mins from home) Poor wee boy, but once on the grass his little sewing machine trot got us caught up and overtook them all to lead for 20 secs till he decided that was enough and dropped right back to the back again hehehe.
He really is an old man in a 4yr olds body

Just waiting for the camera battery to recharge so I can check the few photo's I took before it went flat LOL
