I'm sure this isn't possible - like, pretty much 100% sure - but still have to ask anyway as its so bizarre.
Yesterday I was dealing with a few horses with a cold. Runny nose, stuffy eyes etc, nothing major, just youngsters getting their first cold. Last night (and today) my throat is in the worst possible state. I didn't sleep at all last night as it was so dry feeling - constantly swallowing trying to get a build up of saliva - awful feeling. Throat was in agony this morning. Nothing else is wrong with me. No runny nose, no head ache, no cough etc, just the really sore throat. Have gargled salt water, dribbled whiskey down my throat, all the old remedies and nothing is helping (though lemon barley drinks are good!) WHAT THE HECK!
Horses absolutely can not make humans sick can they??

zoonsis (sp) is the term for it... and yep it is possible with some bugs, but more likely just a coincidence... Feel better soon... put some manuka hunny with your whisky =0P

The only reason it really got me wondering is that it is the only time I've left the house and had contact with anything other than the norm. I have an essay due, so my life consists of sitting in front of my computer, riding my horses, shower, then sitting in front of computer again. No one in my flat is sick, or have been sick either. GRRRR. oh - and I don't get hay fever, so blows that theory too.

They have an incubation time, so normally dont happen that quickly... you may well be run down with all the study as well, so could have picked it up doing the groceries etc...
You need a break!!!
