OMG we had the most HUGEST storm come over, and it's still pouring like mad! We had thunder like I've never heard before, lightening and massive hail storm.

Poor ponies, at least I'd seen it coming and put their thick rugs on. I was worried they would go nuts in the thunder overhead but they didn't, which was a relief.

It is still thunder and pouring rain, WTF happened to summer???!!!!

I managed to get my hay cut and in the shed on Friday thankfully just in time for it to rain on Saturday yay. This is the 1st time I've had cut off a paddock of my own. Cut 72 conventionals off less than an acre and gave 1/2 to the neighbour next door for coming to cut it, turn it, row it up and bale it so my 36 bales have cost me nothing!!! I didnt have the storage to keep and sell the other half anyway so worked out well in everyones' favour.

You can keep all your hail though, it's a lovely evening here tonight nice blue sky with a few clouds.

good work Harley smile

We are drought prone here so don't get a huge amount of hay but enough to cover my boys and often to sell just enough to pay for having had it cut, so feeding my guys doesn't usually cost me anything which is exactly how I like it LOL

Well so much for a nice night, woke up at around 2 this morning with the rain and possibly hail tipping down for a few minutes and a howling wind, got sooo paranoid about the tapes that I have in the paddock I had to go out and make sure everyone (cattle and horse) were still where they were supposed to be. My horse appreciated the visit as 2.20am as he whinnied out to me, gorgeous boy smile. So it was easier to get back to sleep knowing that otherwise I would've stayed awake and every noise couldve been a cow or horse walking around the house!!

Then this morning it is glorious, the rain is ok but keep the hail, it can do too much damage to our crops.

Glad everything was ok Harley. I hate it when you don't go and check and then lie there half the night worrying when it would've been easier to just get out of bed and go check in the first place.

colder southerly here now and we are forecast for a bit of rain and hail!!! Localised to the ranges but the buggers didn't say if they meant our inland ranges or the Kaikoura ranges LOL.
