The Kaimanawa Wild Horse Welfare Trust Inc. is hosting their annual range trip on the 14th of March, 2010.

Come with us to visit Kaimanawa horses in the wild! You're guaranteed a stunning & fascinating encounter with wild horses, set in a back drop of some of the world's most spectacular scenery.

Ride in a comfortable coach through the Army Training Grounds with frequent stops to disembark for photo opportunities of horses & scenery. Guest speakers will explain the history & ecology of the area & the horses as we travel through the range to West Lawn where we enjoy a picnic next to historic buildings & ancient trees.

This is a FANTASTIC trip for anyone & everyone! Kids LOVE it!!

Affordable accommodation option is available.

I have been told there might be a slight twist to the trip this year which, if it comes to fruition, will make it even more MAGIC!

I have been sworn to secrecy so all I will say is, book your seats now! If it happens, you'll thank me & if it doesn't, you're still going to really enjoy the 'traditional' coach trip. wink

I'll get details up on the website soon but until then, contact Elder Jenks on 09 236 4115 or elder@wildhorses.org.nz to register your interest.

This is a "heads up" exclusive to nz-equestrian.co.nz so you are getting to get in first! grin

Do it if you can KA.

I haven't been on this trip but am not far off going on my third horse trek down there. It is an awesome place with amazing views and wonderful scenery.

And getting to see the horses out there is really fantastic.

It's SUPER awesome!!! It's stupidly cheap for such a unique experience too. Now you're going to ask me how much it is & I can't remember. LOL I think it's around $65 for adults & $35 for kids? Can confirm closer to the time. ;-)

How do you go on a trek through the ranges? I have a friend in Australia who has had a lot to do with mustering brumbies and he's thinking about coming over for a trip and is keen to have a look around the ranges. I'll tell him about the bus trip too.
