I've jumped judged a few times now and every time it scares the beejesus out of me watching some riders go round!

Some are great to watch, others though crikey. On the weekend I had one girl who screamed before her horse took off over the fence, nothing was wrong the horse didn't stumble or anything, she just screamed confused and another was praying to God to make it over the fence laugh Then you get others who try and set up every stride and the horse ends up whacking the fence on the way over and I mean WHACK the fence, several times I had to go over to make sure everything was still secure.

This was my last event to help out at for a while though so I will get a bit of a break from it.

OMG! I'm having a glass of bubbles and nearly spat it over the keyboard laughing!! Imagine screaming!!!! The poor horse - did you find out if she did that over every fence!

Can understand the praying to God. :-)

Maybe my singing round the SJ course isn't so bad after all!!!

I know she screamed when her horse jumped into the water and once again it didn't look like anything drastic happened.

I can understand praying too.....but outloud???

I usually talk my round the showjumping, even got told off for talking to my horse during a green horse dressage test. I was thinking christ it's not like I'm going for gold I was just trying to keep my young green horse relaxed (and myself)

Haha Jen Hamilton is always telling me to "shut up" during my round but I told her "Jen, my parents have been trying to shut me up for 36 years... good luck to you"! LOL.

ANother talker here - I also sing when i do showhunter - Usually baa baa black sheep (Sheepishly admits - mind the pun)... and im a biger talker around the cross country as my girl hasnt been exposed to much so it seems to encourage her (Well probably me)

Ive jumped judged at couple of horse trials - and agreed - the pace and way some people go over those jumps OMG... definitely seems to be in more control the higher the level thank god!
