Hello there,

My name is Chris. I'm a 18 year old girl from the Netherlands.
Here in the Netherlands, i've got a 5 year old trotter, named Noble Touch. With him, i ride Endurance in the lowest class (That's beceause we just started in June wink ) but we do really well and i'm really proud on what we have reached in such a short time.

Maybe you're wondering why i came to this forum. Well, i will tell you.

After my exams in May next year, i want to New Zealand (or Australia) for a half a year and i would like to now more about the equistrian sport in New Zealand. Maybe i want to do something with that, when i an there, nut we will see! (First finishing my exams ;))

Welcome Chris! NZ (and OZ) are very strong in Equestrian, it's not the sport of the rich just yet thankfully!

Endurance is pretty strong here too, or the more sedate aspect of trail riding.

You'll also have some places to stay if you want to do some tripping around from in here by the time you make it here I'm sure!

I've done about 4 CTR's on Mac now, only about 14kms but they were a lot of fun and for a fat unfit boy I was surprised at how good his heart rate was!

Nice to hear that Equistrian is very strong in NZ, and also in Endurance. Here in the Netherlands it's a really small aspect of the Equistrian. (Lets say about 12 competitions a year), and many people think that Endurance is for people who can't ride their horses.

@ Ka: nice to hear that your CRT's were fun! My shortest was about 29 kms, and the longest 34 kms. smile

I can't get over the people that do 120km rides and start at 3 or 4am, that's just nuts LOL

Your English is very good Celede smile

Hello all,

My name is Martyn and i'm from the Netherlands. I've been a meat eater for about thirty years and changed my diet into a vegetarian one about two years ago. All this after seeing a documentary through blurry eyes (earthlings) Cry. That documentary was not the only thing that led me to this diet. I'm a pretty big guy and i just had to lose some weight (high blood pressure Sad, it's all good now tho Thumbs Up).So next to a better diet i started running (i still do eat a lot but i can kinda keep that under control with the running)

So yea the recipes are the main thing that brought me here but i hope to have good time here on the forums also.
